The Islands Of The Bahamas has teamed up with WestJet Vacations to unveil the world’s first island inclusive vacation – Club Grand Bahama – a flexible, affordable holiday experience that redefines traditional vacations.
Canadians can book a getaway to Grand Bahama Island with absolute freedom of choice: deciding where to stay, eat and play for a set price without being confined to one resort. Breaking the mould on the traditional, all-inclusive vacation, guests can feast on fresh local seafood at a different restaurant each day, scuba dive coral reefs, kayak through mangroves and sail at sunset all for one price.
“With the launch of Club Grand Bahama, travelers now have the freedom to go beyond the walls of a resort to experience an island inclusive vacation” said Paul Strachan, Director Canada, Bahamas Tourism Office.

As part of the Club Grand Bahama experience, guests are offered:
A selection accommodations at 1 of 5 resorts on the island, including: the boutique Sunrise Resort and Marina, Flamingo Bay Resort & Marina, oceanfront resorts Our Lucaya Reef Village and the Radisson at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort, or harbour-side Pelican Bay at Lucaya Hotel- Are able to dine at any 18 restaurants
- Take part in any or all 50 destination activities
- Have a choice of three championship golf courses
- Can also partake in specialty tours, beach parties, casino gaming and more
- 3 types of price packages (Silver, Gold & Platinum) for a variety of budgets that offer more or less activities and dining options, depending on a traveller’s style
- Travellers receive a Club Grand Bahama Card that is activated at check-in and swiped for meals and activities throughout the vacation
- Roundtrip airport transfers to the hotel of their choice and a package including shuttle bus service connecting sports and recreational activities like golf and scuba diving
Canadians who plan to join the club will travel non-stop aboard WestJet from Toronto to Freeport, Grand Bahama beginning November 2, 2009. The WestJet service will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
