Started my day with a fill-up at the local Esso gas station. I’m eager to try my new American Express AIR MILES Platinum Credit Card, and a high earn rate on gas purchase is a good place to start. This new Card not only offers one mile every $10 at AIR MILES sponsors, it now offers the same rate on purchases at grocery stores, drugstores and gas stations like Esso. From swiping the card to pumping the fuel, it’s such a simple process and I’m effortlessly building AIR MILES as the meter chugs along. Car filled up, I’m on my way to the top of Toronto at Yonge and Eglinton. I ease into a city Green P parking lot by swiping my American Express AIR MILES Platinum Credit Card and I gain instant access to the lot – no hassle with printed paper I have to find later on or fumbling with coins while my arm dangles out the window. Since I earn one mile every $15 spent everywhere, I’m gaining points for all of my daily purchases.
Next, into the Indigo Book store to find some educational material for my new four-month-old great-niece. I find just what I’m looking for in their Kids Section. I purchase “My Animal Work” mini-books that Mom and Dad can read to sweet Ella. On my way to the checkout, I spot some colourful building blocks featuring animals of the forest that look like they’d make a good toy. Time to go before I get carried away.
For the third time in 30 minutes, I used my American Express Platinum AIR MILES Credit Card and am now eager to see just how many AIR MILES I’ve earned for these routine purchases. I’m going to continue using the card and report my findings – it’s loaded with great features and I haven’t even scratched the surface yet.
