Travel can be exhausting. The planning, the booking, the physical process of going to and from your destination. Add in the holiday season, which we’re approaching now, with its blackout dates, increased security, prices and stress and travelling can be a downright nightmare. That’s why I jump at any chance to make my travel experience less stressful and more enjoyable. This busy holiday season I’ll be test driving the new American Express Air Miles Platinum credit card for my travel purchases and sharing with you just how much of a difference one credit card can make in a traveller’s life.
Throughout any given month, I fly at least 3 times between Toronto, Michigan and Florida for business. With the holiday season upon us and upcoming trips to see family and friends, my travel schedule has nearly doubled. This much travel is enough to drive most people’s stress levels through the roof, but now I’ve hopefully got a Platinum ace up my sleeve .
With my travel routine being so refined, there’s little to get stressed out about. I’ve mastered the art of packing light. I’ve nailed the optimal timing of airport arrival and check-in. My travel agent knows me so well that my travel planning consists of a 1 minute phone call. Now, with this shiny new American Express Air Miles Platinum card, any stress I may get will be quickly forgotten when I think of all the Air Miles reward miles I’ll be earning on all my purchases.
I’m going to earn 1 reward mile for every $10 in card purchases at Air Miles sponsors and on other eligible gas, groceries and drugstore purchases. I’ll also get 1 reward mile for every $15 in card purchases everywhere else. Since I’ll be purchasing most of my travel for the next couple months on my new Platinum Air Miles card I should rack up a ton of Air Miles that I’ll be able to use toward future travel. Factor in the 500 bonus reward miles you get just for signing up for the card and it’s easy to see why the new Platinum American Express Air Miles Credit Card may be one of the best credit cards for frequent travellers like me.
