1.     Machu Picchu – Peru

Machu Picchu is situated in southern Peru which is on the top of the mountain. This ancient place was discovered by Hiram Bingham in the year 1911. Earlier it was known as the “Lost city of the Incas” as it was an important cultural center of the Incas civilization. This place is amongst the Seven Wonders of the World and one of the Most visited historic places. If you want some treat to the eyes, this place is ideal for you as it is rich in its scenic beauty and famous for its mysterious nature. Machu Picchu is situated on top of a mountain and it is accessible only by train. If you want to have an adventure trip, you can also go hiking and it takes around four days to reach here.  Because of its vast popularity, the authority has restricted a large number of people in visiting this place. They have a limitation on how many people could visit this place at a time so that beauty cannot be ruined and they can preserve it for many years to come.

2.     The Pyramids at Giza

The pyramid of Giza is the most famous historical monuments in the world. This monument is over 3000 years old and people still have no ideas as for how these were built. The three large and three smaller pyramids all lined up one by one have chambers inside in. People are still amused at how they were made and especially chambers inside the pyramids. It is never opened and the mystery still exists that how and why the chambers are made. The largest of the pyramid is called the Great Pyramid which was made by Pharaoh Khufu. This pyramid has limited access and it’s truly amazing to see the great architecture and engineering of ancient time. You will also find sphinx nearby which is the other monuments whose mysteries are still talk of the town. Overall, this is one of the finest historic monuments which have to be there in your bucket list.

3.     The Colosseum and Forum– Rome

Rome is one beautiful city famous for its vast architecture and history. Colosseum is one of the topmost attractions of Rome. If you are in Rome and in Colosseum, you are witnessing the place where they used for the gladiatorial contest and for animal hunts and re-enactments of famous battles. Execution and dramas are also being part of this place.  But Colosseum with the time started to crumble down with and now it is much restricted whereas the Forum is a great place to have a walk around and it’s free. You don’t have to pay any charges in order to visit this place. Palatine hills are also one of the historical attractions where the ticket is required and you will have to hire a guide in order to get proper detail about the place.  

4.     Taj Mahal– India

Taj Mahal is known as the symbol of love. One of the best historical cities to visit 2019 and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built in the 1600s, Taj Mahal is made up of white marble which is built by Emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. The interior and the exteriors marble walls have been made and designed beautifully with calligraphy of Persian poems and plant motif. All the details have been done very delicately which makes it even more attractive and stunning. It’s one of the favorite historic monuments and it witnesses almost for hundred visitors every year and the number is increasing day by day. So to protect the sites, the government has decided to limit the visitors and also they have restricted on tourism in an effort to help protect this beautiful monument. Although the precautions have been taken the air pollution is the biggest threat which is affecting the life of marble.  

5.     The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China goes by its name and it consists of many walls. Emperor called Qin Shi Huang made this plan of making these monuments in the third century BC as a means of keeping all the Mongol hordes attacking the country. The Great Wall of China was built in 14th centuries during Ming dynasty. This dynasty was never effectively preventing an attacker from entering China. The engineers have really worked hard for this and created a masterpiece, it’s truly an achievement of humanity.
