Kaylee and Jason travel to Los Angeles to claim credit for their idea. The movie was filmed in Culver City, Glendale, Monrovia, Whittier, and Pasadena in California.
What A Girl Wants (2003). This movie was filmed all over London and the UK, including Battersea Park, Borough Market, Henley-On-Thames, Buckinghamshire, Wrotham Park, and even Ouarzazate in Morocco. The film is about a free-spirited American girl raised by a single mom who discovers that her father (played by Colin Firth) is a prominent political figure who is also running for Prime Minister. She goes to the UK to find him but finds it difficult to fit in with the aristocratic class.
What I Like About You (2002-2006). Mainly filmed in Los Angeles, California, this TV series lasted 4 seasons. Bynes plays Holly Tyler, a girl whose father is transferred to Japan for work and she is sent to live with her older sister (played by Beverly Hills 90210’s Jennie Garth) who runs a bakery in New York City.
She’s the Man (2006). A modern day film likened to Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” Bynes plays a Viola, a girl who disguises herself as a boy so that she can play soccer but in the mean time falls in love with her roommate/teammate (played by Channing Tatum) in the all-boys private school. The movie was filmed throughout Vancouver, British Columbia and was played throughout Ireland, the UK, Eastern Europe, Australia, and most of Asia.
Hairspray (2007). Starring along John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah and Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes plays one of the main characters, Penny Pingleton. A song and dance movie likened to today’s version of Grease and High School Musical, it is set in Baltimore but was filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, in Ontario, Canada.
