Art Gallery of Ontario

Art Gallery of Ontario is situated in the city of Toronto at Dundas Street West. It includes a collection about 80,000 works and covers around 45,000 square meters of area, which makes it one of the largest galleries in North America. Most of the collections include Canadian Art, work collection from the Baroque eras and renaissance as well as African, Oceanic and European art. Other than the artwork, photography collection constitutes the major part of the collection.
The museum houses many sculptures, historic objects, frames, books, graphic art and other art forms that are important to the culture and history of ancient times. The gallery has had four expansions and renovations since 1974, enabling it to stand among the largest galleries of North America. Besides display galleries, the structure houses student space, an extensive library, high-end café, gift shop, theatre, and a lecture hall. After visiting the exhibition, children can touch, play and create their own art in Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre or in the Family Creativity Lounge.
