This temple was built hundreds of years before the Angkor Wat Temple and the cathedrals of Europe.

 Prambanan Temple

Prambanan Temple:

Like the Borobudur Temple, the Prambanan Temple is an UNESCO world heritage site as well. It was built in the tenth century. The two kings named Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Balitung contributed in building this temple. This temple is even taller than the Borobudur Temple. You will have to travel 17 km from the middle of the city. It is a Hindu temple where there are separate temples of the Hindu gods Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. Watch the setting sun from the main temple building to feel one with the surrounding nature.

Parangtritis Beach: 

The Parangtritis beaches offer a lovely view of the sea and rejuvenate your senses with its serene beauty. There is a mythological story around this place according to which the beach leads to the magical territory of Queen of South or Ratu Kidul. The beach is well monitored and maintained with care. There are public toilets and comfortable lodges near the beaches.

 Kaliurang

Kaliurang: 

You will have to travel 25 km from the center of the city Yogyakarta to reach Kaliurang, which is a nice family vacationing spot. You will get a picturesque view of the Merapi Mountain from this place. Visit the 22 famous caves built by the Japanese. The greenery by the side of the soil roads will win your heart. This place also houses some famous historical buildings that you should not miss.

 Malioboro

Malioboro:

Malioboro is the favorite gathering place for the youngsters and artistic individuals. Even sellers and buyers gather here to sell different interesting knick-knacks and accessories.
