National Museum of History of Moldova, Moldova

National Museum of History of Moldova is located in Central Chisinau, Moldova. It was established in December 1983 and in 2006 was recognized as the National Museum of Archeology and History of Moldova. The museum comprises of over 263,000 items out of which 165,000 belong to national heritage.

In the yard of the museum lies the monument of Capitoline Wolf that is the copy of the one in Rome. Apart from this, the museum also included collections from the State Museum of History and Regional studies and Republican Museum of Military Glory. In 2006-2007, several items were transferred from the Museum of the CPM, Republican Museum of Friendship, Republican Museum of the History of Religion and Republican Museum of G.I Kotovsky. Pages of Centuries-Old History of Moldova First permanent exhibition of the museum was opened to the public in 1991. The Museum contributes to the promotion of the historical and cultural property of the museum and offers temporary exhibitions that are open to the public. It has organized about 189 temporary exhibitions during its 27 years of existence with collaborations with various research and cultural institutions.
