Railroad to SilvertonGo back in time on the Railroad to Silverton.  Retrace the steps of claim-seeking miners and board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad as it winds through the remote and scenic mountain wilderness to the historic town of Silverton.  Originally constructed to haul silver and gold from mining camps, the railway has been in operation since 1881.  In the winter, the train reveals a snow-filled wonderland as it takes a shorter trip to Cascade Canyon.
