Tashkent tower

Tashkent Tower that combines the Uzbek and contemporary architecture is the tallest tower in central Asia with its height at 375 meters and it weighs more than 6000 tons. The tower is used for arranging the most modern means of communication including satellite TV and radio transmission as well as cellular and paging communication. It transmits the signal to the farthest point of Tashkent Province and some of the south regions of Kazakhstan and has the highest meteorological station.

Constructed out of steel, the tower has an observation deck located 97 meters above the ground. Other than this, it is used for communication between government departments and organizations. It is also included to the World Federation of Great Towers, ranking as the ninth tallest. Today, it ranks 11th in the list. At the tower, professional guides offer tours and tell the visitors about the history of the tower and other sights of Tashkent. For greater view, one needs to get closer to the tower. The structure is equipped with three high-speed elevators that take visitors to viewing deck and two – blue and red restaurants – in 30 seconds. Other than enjoying various cuisines, the visitors can admire the most inspiring views of Tashkent.
