Cathay Pacific Gets Upgrades for Canada Flights

Cathay Pacific

Soon, select flights from Toronto and Vancouver, Canada to Hong Kong will be offering Cathay’s Pacific new upgraded cabins.

The redesigned aircrafts include an entirely new seating and cabin design for all economy, business and first class passengers. Talk about flying in style – but there’s no better flight to offer new flat beds on – than this gruelling 15 hour flight.

What the Makeover Will Look Like

Old SeatFor economy-class seats are to be upgraded to business-class like seats that recline and offer extra leg space. Reclining by the person in front of you will no longer bother you. Larger televisions and AV systems are also being offered.

The business-class seats transform into a totally flat bed, which are positioned diagonally stemming from the center aisles. Each passenger controls his own space around the flatbed, including lumbar support adjustments, massage functions and 15 inch television screens. Each passenger’s space includes a power supply outlet and mood lighting.

First-class passengers will be receiving the extreme in luxury. Cathay Pacific’s vision has been to re-create on board the style of a five-star hotel room. New first-class passenger seats will be able to transform into an armchair, lounge chair or a bed (that extends to become longer or wider). The seat includes a mattress, duvet and lumbar massage. The suite also transforms into a workstation for business travellers.

Maybe, just maybe, the flight from Canada to Hong Kong won’t be quite so bad!
